Why TT would ask questions during SmartCheck on property address and type in "Schedule E worksheet" when that information is not on K1 (form 1065)?

I do not own any property. Deleted and re-entered K1 information multiple times but no change.

Smart Check goes directly to Schedule E Worksheet, and wants me to fill the information on property address, zip code, Days personal use, and property description. All the errors or the information requested are in Schedule E worksheet only. I spent close to 3 hours on the phone with TT telephone assistance, but no resolution.

If you do not have a rental, and there is no rental income on your K-1, did you try to delete the Schedule E?

  • For TurboTax Desktop, switch to Forms (Upper right corner)
To Delete a Form  using TurboTax Online:
Select Tax Tools on the left side-bar
    Select Tools from that drop-down
Select “Delete a form” on the TOOLS CENTER screen
    Select Schedule E and Delete

To clarify, does the K-1 report rental income in Box 2?

No, there is nothing in box 2 or 3. Box 10, net section 1231 gain(loss) has -21.

Please clarify if the SmartCheck error mentions Schedule K-1 or only offers a Schedule E worksheet.
