why do i have accounts on my credit report that i have never heard of? (pro collect, commonwealth financial)

    They are most likely the company that your originally debtor sold your account to, a debt collections company. If you click on those accounts, they should show the originally company towards the bottom. Hospitals, student loans, utility companies ect.
