dings on credit score

When turbo tax showed me my credit score and all of the dings . There are company's listed showing I owe money to . Two of them I am aware of . My credit card company (NFCU) and Credit control corp (affirm) which I used to buy furniture for my home with .. and am paying monthly payments on . But there are two other company's showing I owe money to from almost 4 years ago and I have never heard of them or know what the amount of money is even for ? Is there anyway to find out what they are and why I am being charged? Also why I personally have never received anything from these companies ?

many times , companies turn your bill over to a collection agency and then those are the names on the credit report

Suggest googling then and calling them if you are wanting to resolve the issues noted on your credit report
