Question

I started working for the Government of Canada in February 2022. I still live in Quebec. How much Quebec taxes should be deducted from my salary?

It would depend on a number of factors, such has how much you are getting paid, what you entered on your Form TD1, etc…

Also, if you are working in Ontario while living in Quebec, you will be taxed at Ontario rates. The difference will be adjusted for on your yearly tax return.

You can use the calculator on this Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) page to try to determine how much tax will be taken off your salary: Payroll Deductions Online Calculator

Revenu Québec has a calculator specifically for people working in Québec: WEBRAS – Calculation Of Source Deductions And Employer Contributions

    Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
