When not ALL donations are needed for current year, must you still record ALL of them, in order to carry forward those unused ones in another year?

In other words, must donations be recorded in the current year (such as RSP's) in order to use/carry forward some of the donations for another future year.

We always need to enter items in the year they apply for anything that can be carried forward. IE donations, RRSP's, tuition. In order to carry forward, the donations need to be entered. Go to the Deduction tab -> Payments Profile -> Donations Profile. Once entered and you click done you should be given the option to carry forward.
