Is there a way to get myself off as a cosigner on my son's student loan debt

    Sure. See if your son will refinance the loan. If he won't refinance or doesn't qualify for the loan, then you may be stuck being liable for the loan as a cosigner, if he can't make the payments, isn't making the payments, or just stops making the payments.
