2024 expense

I had a medical procedure performed in 2024 but did not receive the bill until 2025.  I paid the bill in 2025.  Can I count this medical expense in 2024?

No.

 

You can only claim that bill as Medical expenses in 2025.

No, not on a 2024 return since you did pay for the medical expense until 2025.  You can enter this payment on the 2025 tax return next year.
