Hi!

I have a quick question about my IRA conversion process. I contributed the maximum amount to my 2024 and 2025 Traditional IRA’s in January 2025. In February I converted those funds to my Roth IRA. When I was filing my taxes i realized I do not have a form 1099-R, nor do I have a form 8606.

I am a bit lost with how I should proceed in my filings. Is anyone able to help?

you won't get the forms until next January as they were 2025 transactions.

    follow these instructions

The only reportable transaction for 2024 is the 2024 contribution made in 2025.  The rest will be reported next year.

In order to show the 2024 contribution on your 2024 return, follow these steps in TurboTax Online:

    1. Navigate to Federal > Deductions & Credits > Retirement and Investments>  Traditional IRA and Roth IRARevisit
    2. Continue through interview again, when you are asked Is This a Repayment of a Retirement Distribution? screen, select No.
    3. On the Tell Us How Much You Contributed screen, enter the amount and select Continue.
    4. On the Did You Change Your Mind? screen, select No, then answer the questions on the following screens.
    5. When you reach the Choose Not to Deduct IRA Contributions screen:
      1. Select Yes, make part of my IRA contribution nondeductible.
      2. Enter the amount.
      3. Select Continue.

I am using the desktop version and I do not get these questions.  I am struggling to complete this portion of my tax return.  I am following all the prompts but I do not get these questions.  How do I get there?
