Can I change itemized deduction amount

As long as you have not filed your return, you can change your medical expense deductions.

If you have already filed, you will need to amend to make the change.  Here is some more information on filing amendments: How to File an Amended Tax Return with the IRS.

If you would like to change the medical expenses you entered, follow theses steps:

• Navigate to Federal > Deductions & Credits > Medical Expenses > Edit
• Adjust any expenses necessary as you go through the categories

Note that in order to claim medical expenses you must itemize deductions and only the expenses over 7.5% of your AGI are deductible, so adjusting medical expenses may or may not change your tax liability.
