Question

Can I still get clean vehicle credit for a tesla I purchased in 2023. I did not claim for it last year?

    If you did not claim your EV credit in 2023, you'll need to amend your 2023 tax return to claim it. You cannot claim it on your 2024 tax return.

    Since the vehicle was purchased in 2023, any credit you may be eligible to receive must be entered on the 2023 tax return.  You will need to amend the 2023 return for the credit.
