Question

Can we specify on Turbo Tax to Reduce Income based on India-US Tax Treaty 12,000$? I will be filing as Non Resident this year(F1 to H1B in October), how can I use treaty?

I know India and US have a tax treaty where the Non Residents can remove 12K from there taxable Income. I was on STEM OPT till Sept 2024, how can I Include the option to remove that. Also Turbo Tax never asked for any information on my visits to US, how do I know its filing my taxes as Non Resident Status?

    TurboTax does not handle nonresidents. You will need to file with Sprintax. They can help with their software.
