I made several donations to Habitat for Humanity, yet there are no categories available that are appropriate for this charity.  How do I claim these?

Assuming you are referring to non-cash donations, please follow these steps in TurboTax Online to enter:

    1. Sign in to TurboTax and choose continue or Pick up where you left off
    2. On the left side bar, choose Federal and then Deductions & Credits
    3. Select Start/Add/Edit next to Donations to Charity in 2024
    4. Select +Add Another Charity and enter Habitat for Humanity
    5. Select Add next to Items (clothes, furniture, cars, etc)
    6. You can choose to value the items yourself or use ItsDeductible

Thanks.  I've done that, but the selections available (i.e. those you list) do not apply to building material categories (e.g. bulk wire, flooring, electrical & plumbing fixtures ).

You can choose "Other personal property" and then "Continue" on the next screen you will write a description of the property where you can add "Building Materials Wire, flooring, electrical & plumbing fixtures."

Your screens will look something like this:
