When I do my taxes on the TurboTax website, I get the child tax credit, when I do them on the locally installed version of TurboTax, it says I don't qualify. I started doing them on my locally installed version, and when I saw I didn't get it, I did them online to verify. Also, when I go to the IRS website, it says I qualify for the tax credit. My TurboTax updated today, so it's up to date. What is going on here?

If you are seeing a difference between online and the download version it is likely because you answered something differently in the desktop version that made you ineligible for the child tax credit.

You can go back to the personal info section and double check all the entries for yourself and your child. Be sure that you are reading each question carefully and have all the information entered.
