doesn't price of second gift of same stock change with FIFO method of cost basis?

If you gave stock to a charity on two separate occasions, the cost basis of the stock in each gift may or may not be different. If the shares came from the same lot, they would have the same cost basis. If the shares came from different lots, the cost basis would be different. You have the choice of identifying which shares you want your broker to transfer. If you don't specify, the default is First-in, First-Out (FIFO).
