Question

Dividends from a UK company

I have the four dividend notices from Unilever, payable in British Pounds.  I have the money deposited into my checking account and have the four amounts (in US dollars) for 2024.

My question is other than adding the four amounts together and reporting them as dividends, is there anything else I need to report?  I did not receive a 1099-Div from Computershare in the UK for the Unilever stock.

Any assistance is appreciated.

@Joanne1953 , all you have to do is recognize the dividend income  and pay US taxes on this income stream.

If UK taxes you on this , then that  ( doubly taxed  foreign income ) may be eligible  for Foreign Tax Credit or deduction ( if you itemize ).

I am assuming here that you are a UXS person ( citizen/GreenCard/ Resident for Tax purposes ).

Noting that you have at least one foreign bank account , you are subject to FBAR and FATCA regulations.

Is there more one can do for you ?
