Yes! Beginning in the tax year 2023, the tax law was updated so homeowners can receive an energy tax credit of 30% of the cost of new windows, up to a maximum of $600

This was part of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, which extends and increases benefits of the Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit (EEHIC).

To enter your Residential Energy Credits (Form 5695) in TurboTax Online:

    • Continue your return.
    • Click on "" in your left panel
    • Click on "Tools".
    • In the pop-up window, click "Topic Search".
    • In the search bar, type "5695".
    • Click on "Go"
    • Follow the onscreen instructions to enter your Energy-Saving Home Improvements.

Click here for "2024-2025 Energy Tax Credit: Which Home Improvements Qualify?"

Click here for "What Is the IRS Form 5695?"
