Do you include taxes (prorated, adjusted and paid) by seller as selling expenses?

    No, tax paid at closing is only your share. 

    If the county or state you lived in charges the year after, the Seller would owe the Buyer the taxes that were not yet paid. 

    The Buyer will get a full year bill, but only will live there part of the year, so you give them your share. 

     

    You can add the payment you made at closing as taxes paid and claim on Schedule A if you itemize.
