I leased an EV and the dealer took the rebate and adjusted my rental p

ayments accordingly. Do I need to do anything on my tax return?

When you lease an electric vehicle (EV), the federal tax credit typically goes to the leasing company (the lessor), not you (the lessee). The leasing company may pass on the benefit to you by reducing your lease payments, which seems to be what happened in your case.

Since the credit was claimed by the dealer or leasing company, you generally don't need to report anything related to the EV tax credit on your tax return. However, it's always a good idea to keep documentation of your lease agreement and any adjustments made to your payments for your records.
