For Sales Tax Deduction, when it askes for building material, can I list my new home building expenses such as lumber?

    Yes, if you paid sales tax. New Home Builders usually do not pay sales tax (depending on the state) since the tax is generated at time of the sale of the completed home, but if you purchased as a consumer, you probably did get charged sales tax.

    @KrisD15 the builder purchased the material and then submitted me the invoice and I reimbursed him

    That's fine. If you have the receipt showing sales tax, add it to the list!
