I co-owned home with my mom and installed a new furnace in 2024 and I am the only who paid for the cost. When Filing form 5695, do I need to check the box saying that I jointly occupied my home? even if I paid 100% of the expenses and should be the only one taking the full tax credit?

If you co-own a home with your mom, check the joint occupancy box on Form 5695, even if you paid all the expenses. Each occupant must file their own form. Since you paid for the furnace, you can claim the full credit. For more details, see the Instructions for Form 5695.
