Question

Hello,I was an international student (i.e. a nonresident alien) in 2024. TurboTax says I qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit, but isn’t it only for US residents?

    Yes, it is only for US Residents.  

     

    If you are a non resident alien, you will need to file a 1040NR not a 1040. TurboTax does not support the 1040NR, please go to Sprintax for help with your non resident return.
