Question

How can I explain a question about my house. It will not let me go back?

I bought my house by a quit claim deed. And they want my mortgage interest and I don't have a mortgage company. It won't let me explain this

If there was a 1098-T generated at some, point, you can go back to that section of TurboTax and delete it.  That should stop questions about mortgage interest.

 

Here is how to do this in TurboTax Online:

 

  • Go to Federal > Deductions & Credits > Mortgage Interest and Refinancing (Form 1098)> Add/Edit
  • Choose the entry to delete
