How can I see how home my office expenses were entered in 2023?

Take a look at your Form 8829 and Schedule C.  If you have information reported on the top of Form 8829 showing the square feet of your office space and the square feet of your home, but the rest of the form is blank, then take a look at line 30 on your Schedule C.  If there is a number reported on that line for home office expense, then you took the Simplified Home Office deduction.

If your Form 8829 is completely filled out with expenses and there is a total on line 36, which is also shown on Schedule C line 30, then you used the Actual Expense method for home office expenses.
