Question

How do I delete an entry for Sale of Business Property? I do not have any business property nor did I sell any but an amount is showing up in the income area?

    The sale of business property would show up on a form 4797. You can look at the forms in your program and if you see it delete it, assuming you didn't have any business property sold during the year.

     

     1. Choose the Tax Tools option on your left menu bar while working on your return

    2. Choose Tools

    3. Choose the Delete a form option under Other Helpful links 

    4. Find the form 4797 in the list and delete it
