How do I remove an underpayment penalty due to a recognized natural disaster?

I did'nt take out enough withholding this year, but had property damage due to Hurricane Milton. How can I remove the penalty?

In the underpayment penalty, go through the questions and indicate the disaster. Go to federal, to Other tax situations, select underpayment penalties.

 

Instructions for Form 2210, Underpayment of Estimated Tax page 2 lists how to apply for the waiver based on your disaster. If you owe more than $1,000, the program will generate the 2210.
