How do I report home mortgage interest not reported to me on a 1098?

To enter this type of mortgage interest paid, please follow the instructions below:

1. Open or continue your return.
2. If using TurboTax Online, go to 1098. If using TurboTax Desktop, search for 1098, select the Jump to link, and select Add/edit Form 1098.
3. Answer Yes to Did you pay any home loans in 2024?
4. On the Let's Import your Tax Info, click on Change how I enter my form. Then, click on Type it in myself. 
5. Enter the name of your mortgage lender.
6. On the screen, Do any uncommon situations apply?, click on The seller is financing this loan and I didn't receive a 1098.
7. Enter the information on the following screens.
