So do YOU have Medicare? If so, you are not eligible to contribute to an HSA, even if you are covered by an HDHP.

But if it only your husband who has Medicare, then that does not affect you, and you are eligible and can contribute to your HSA. And your husband's Medicare plan including an MSA, also does not affect you.

Note, if you do not have an HSA but are eligible, then you can open one - HSAs are like IRAs, each spouse can have one.

If neither of you have an HSA, then do not check the HSA box when TurboTax asks you what kind of health accounts you have.

On the same screen, do not check the MSA box either, if the only MSA that you have is a Medicare MSA.
