I am trying to add my childcare expenses. In the federal "dependent care credit" tab it does not give me the option to put in any information.

First, make sure both spouses have completed entry of their W-2s. If you are married, you need to be filing a joint tax return.

Next, your dependent child must be under age 13 when the care was provided, or disabled.
