Question

I divorced in 2024 and we sold our home. Individually, I made less than $250,000 on the sale. How do I claim this?

    It depends.  Was the house sold after your divorce was finalized?  Did you receive a 1099-S form (Proceeds from Real Estate Transactions) for this sale?  If so, whose name is it in?
