Question

I don't have a mortgage. My last point for review is Mortgage interest and refinancing section. I can't get it to go away. What do i need to do?

    Review the Mortgage Interest section in Deductions and Credits.  Check for 1098-Mortgage Interest Statements that may have transferred from last year. Follow the instructions in the TurboTax Help article Where do I enter my 1098 mortgage interest statement? for navigation instructions to get to that section.

     

    When you get to the 1098 Summary screen, delete any 1098s that transferred.
