Question

I have an ILLINOIS 2023 schedule1299-C on line J Credit Carry forward amount.This was the balance in the "Invest in Kids Program". Where is to be entered on Turbo Tax?

    In order to ensure you are receiving the carryover of your credit, you can enter the carryforward on the screen Enter your carryover credits, using code 5660- Invest in Kids.

     

    Here is how to navigate to this section, using TurboTax Online:

    1. Navigate to State Taxes > Your State Returns > Illinois > Continue
    2. On the summary screen, choose Credits and taxes
    3. Select Carryforward in the section Other credits
    4. Enter the carryforward
