Question

I only have a w-2 and a 1099-INT Form. It's asking to fix information on a 2555-T Form, but I don't have that form. It won't let me continue to file. What should I do?

Form 2555 is used to report the foreign earned income exclusion.

 

If you do not have foreign earned income, you'll have to delete form 2555 from your tax return.

 

To delete it, please follow these steps:

 

  1. In TurboTax Online, open your return
  2. In the left-hand column, locate Tax Tools, click on the drop-down arrow then click on Tools
  3. On the Tools Center  page, click on Delete a form 
  4. A list of forms will appear. Locate form 2555 and click Delete next to it.
  5. On the next screen, click Delete Form
