Question

I was Indian resident on F1 visa till August when I received green card. Can I file as resident alien instead of dual resident?

As resident alien I get standard deduction though I also get standard deduction under India-US DTAA. I can claim only one but filing one return is much simpler. In case I need to file two returns how do I segregate Interest income and Internship income which covered both the periods?

No, you may only file one return because since you received your green card, you may file the entire year as a resident.
