Illinois credit for property taxes needs review.

Sometimes when you get a ‌ in TurboTax, might be because you missed something when you entered your information.  

First, make sure that you entered the real estate property taxes you paid on your primary residence, in your federal return. ‌This'll go in the Deductions and credits under the Property (Real Estate) Taxes section.  TurboTax will transfer that information to your state return.  

In your state return the Illinois Property tax credit can be found under Credits and taxes under the Illinois State tax return. Make sure that you go through all the questions carefully, and enter all the necessary information.  See the images below for your reference:

If you continue having issues, you can try these steps if you are using the online version:

• Clearing your Cache and Cookies
• Using a different browser
• Opening an Incognito Window

You could also delete your state and start it again. Please reach out again if your problem persists.
