Question

In my Self Employment work summary I clicked edit and then Add expenses for this work and nothing happens. I can't add expenses for my 1099 income. Can this be fixed?

it just says Expenses You have not entered any expenses for this work yet. When I click add expenses for this work it just refreshes the page and does not allow me to add expenses. One turbotax representative on the phone said this is a Issue with turbotax and needs to be fixed but its been months and it was never fixed. Another representative said to go to setting and allow edits but there is no settings so I cant do that.

    You should be able to enter your business expenses by going back to your business information:

     

    1. Open or continue your return
    2. Go to Schedule C
    3. On the question, Did you have any self-employment income or expenses? Answer yes
    4. Select any expense categories you have
    5. A list of the expenses you selected will come up on the next screen and you can edit each category
    6. Enter the expense you have
