pay for turbotax premium with foreign address on credit card?

We are separated currently and she resides in the house until settlement not sure if this makes the residency requirement for Capital Gains and the profit from the sale will be split 50/50.

Hello, My son is 17 and has been working a part time job since November 2024.   He only made a few hundred dollars in 2024 so he did not file taxes. He still only works part time and currently is exempt on his W4 and has zero taxes taken out for Federal or State. He works about 12 hours a week at minimum wage.  Unless he adds more hours he is projected to make less than $10,000 for 2025. When does he need to start having taxes deducted from his paychecks and how much does he need to have deducted. We completed the IRS deduction estimator and it said nothing should be deducted. If he does need to start deducting taxes from his checks the W4 is so confusing and we are unsure how much to have deducted and where to fill it out on the form. Please help!!! Thanks,Confusedmom

I am a new instructor at a technical college in Georgia and have a question about my withholding on my paychecks. I have elected for TRS (Teacher Retirement System of Georgia) and I have noticed that I have zero federal withholdings. They pull out for Fed MED/EE and my state taxes, is this accurate? I don't want to get hit with owing a tax bill at the beginning of the year.

I would like to donate live plants to a local non-profit. These plants will be directly planted in community gardens and will not be sold, so I understand I can use fair-market valuation. Is this entered in donations sections or is this a directly deductible business expense? Received Notice from KY IRS that we failed to file for the KY Family Size Tax Credit. They adjusted our return.In looking at TurboTax, Form ITC has the lines to fill out BUT the easy Form did not ask if it was to be filled out.Did I miss something? Jim

Have been using GDS (27.5 yrs) for foreign rental property depreciaion for 2 decades. Turbotax selects ADS but am allowed to use GDS because I was using it before the rules changed. How do I override?

Only one spouse's name is on the title, so net proceeds from the home sale initially go to that spouse's bank accountQuestion:What home sale amount should each spouse specify in their respective tax returns and where? We sold our home and used some of the sales price to pay off the mortgage. How does this calculate in determining the amount of capital gain, if any, to report as the "adjusted basis".

I need to know how to the website is not giving me option to take the credit off my return

In 2024, I worked as an independent consultant for 3 months, for which I received a 1099-NEC, worked from my home office 100% and have only $300 of business expense.  I plan to use standard home office deduction.  However, TurboTax does not allow me to get home office deduction because 'the net profit of your business was zero or less'.  This doesn't seem to make sense.  How do I fix it?  Thank you.

If an older car, a 2008 Camry is now being used for business starting July 2017, can depreciation be applied or is the car too old? Based on the miles, it is being used for business 80% and 20% personal. Can I still take depreciation or is it too old? If depreciation is possible, what is the cost basis? Is it the amount we paid when it was bought brand new in 2008, or the fair market value when it was placed in service July 2017?
