IRS claims electric vehicle not in VIN database. How to correct and claim Clean Air Vehicle Credit?

Vehicle is a Ford Escape PHEV and is listed in the IRS website as qualifying for a $3,750 Federal Tax Credit.

This is likely due to the dealer not entering the information into the IRS database.  They have reopened the database, so you can contact your dealer to ask them to submit the paperwork to the IRS so you can then claim your credit.
