Is California adding back all of my employer HSA contributions to my income?

I moved from TX to CA in September of '24. On my CA 540NR, it shows that CA is adding back $2,400 to my income due to employer HSA Contributions. Only $900 of the contributions occurred while I was a CA resident. Should I adjust my HSA Contributions?

Yes. Adjust the amount on your Part-year CA return.

California law does not conform to the federal HSA provisions.

Open your CA return and continue until you get to the screen About Your HSA Contributions.
