I purchased a vacant parcel of land in 2024, no buildings. ( State of Maryland)

Not sure exactly what I will do with it yet.

Seller took back $250,000 buyback mortgage.  I pay them directly monthly. P&I

We have a loan agreement set up by the settlement attorney.

Can I deduct the mortgage interest I pay them on my tax return.

If so, where on Turbo Tax do I enter this?

No, you can't deduct mortgage interest on vacant land that you use for personal use.  Refer to IRS FAQ Home mortgage interest deduction for land for more information.
