Question

Is there a way to find the form for section 179 deduction? I am trying the write off the purchase of my truck as a business expense but it only is allowing mileage.

I have read that you can claim up to 100% off of the total purchase price but it isnt allowing me to do that.

    After you enter the mileage, you must indicate that you want to deduct the actual expenses.  You will have to continue through the section and answer the questions;- you will see the option to use the 179 expensing in the follow-up questions.
