The software is not asking for the over 66 years old medical expenses which are allowed in Oregon. I have asked this question once before, and your employee answered. I followed all the directions given more than once, but the software is still not asking me for the allowed medical expenses. I see no spot to enter them like I did the past few years. I even deleted my entire state return, started over, and I am never asked for the medical expenses. Please fix the program so I can finish my return.

The medical expense deduction for individuals 66 years old and older is available for taxpayers whose income is below:

    - $100,000 if your filing status is single or married filing separately, or

    - $200,000 if your filing status is married filing jointly, head of household, or qualifying widow/surviving spouse

If you are age 66 and older and your income is below the above threshold, TurboTax will ask you to enter your medical expenses. If you meet the requirements and still don't see the screen asking for your medical expenses, please review your personal profile in the My Info section to make sure your birthdate is reported properly. Then review your income to make sure it's not overstated.

I've checked my age and income; Turbo Tax still isnt prompting me on the Oregon Medical Expenses.  How can I find/claim this on Turbo Tax?

If that didn't work, you will have to delete your state return in TurboTax Online and start it again. To do this:

    1. Open your return.
    2. Select State Taxes from Tax Home.
    3. On the Status of your state returns screen
    4. Select the trashcan icon next to your state
    5. Select Delete
    6. Select Start Over next to your state return on the Status of your state returns screen

After you restart it the program should ask for your medical expenses.  Please reach out if your issue continues.
