Medical expense - service in '24, paid in '25

Took my child to Urgent Care (all is well) in December '24.  Paid the bill in '25.  What year can I deduct the medical expense?

    The expense is deductible when paid, 2025.  

     

    Note that if you have no other medical expenses, this may not impact your tax return. This is because in order to claim medical expenses you must itemize deductions and only the expenses over 7.5% of your AGI are deductible.
