Rule 179 for rental property

Can I use rule 179 on a rental that I put into use in 2024, after buying it in dec 2023? I did remodel on the rental that took a few months.

No.  You can use Section 179 for "personal property" like appliances, furniture and fixtures.  You cannot use section 179 for the rental property, which includes renovations.
