self-employed health insurance premium

I did not take self-employed health insurance premium deductions in 2021 and 1023 because I did not know about it. Can I add it to this year's deduction instead of filing an amended 1040X?

No.

 

You cannot claim past years' self-employed health deductions on your 2024 tax return.

 

You'll need to amend those years' returns. You have three years from the past return's due date to amend.

 

Please note that you have until April 15, 2025 to amend your 2021 tax return.
