should the credit carryforward apply i dont know where it came from

turbo tax applied a 23.00 credit that i have no way of answering the the related questions

If you used TurboTax last year, there should be a "Carryover Worksheet".

You can check this worksheet to see where the $23 is coming from.

The worksheet would be in both the 2023 program as well as the 2024 program.

If you use TurboTax Desktop, you can switch to forms (top right corner) and look for the worksheet for this year.

For Online users, look at "Your Tax Returns and Documents" from tax Year 2023.
