T-Bill Interest

I have US Treasury Bill interest (1099-INT) and entered it on my Federal Return using Box 3.  The amount of interest however was not subtracted from my Virginia State Return (tax exempt).  How do I fix?

    Entering the Treasury bill interest, in box 3, at the 1099-INT screen, automatically gets it deducted from the Federal AGI, for VA.
