Unable to E-file my Indiana state return: two of the four withholding and wage amounts on w-2 statement have same dollar amount

I have 2 1099R forms where no taxes on local income were taken out. the values for withholding on the 1099R's are all zero, therefore the values are the same. Not sure what to do. Is this an Indiana problem or Turbo-Tax

On the 1099R if a box has zero in it then leave it Blank.  Leave boxes 14-16  and 17-19 Blank , no spaces.  Why did you mention W2?

My mistake, it was a W-2. that was flagged. there are two tax amounts that round up to the same number Local Income tax and Federal income tax, could that be it??

That sounds like a flag to double check the numbers are correct rather than to prevent you from filing. It could be the developers added an extra layer of protection and you need to round the local box down and then correct it on the local tax form.

I had the same issue with a customer today.  There were 2 amounts in the state and local tax withholding that rounded to the same whole number.  To fix the issue, the customer rounded up one and rounded down the other, so that the amounts were not the same.  This fixed the issue and the customer was able to E-file Indiana.
