Want to edit medical but system won't let me as its concluded that itemizing isn't beneficial

When edit is selected it automatically indicates standard although it doesn't know what the itemized medical are.

To enter deductible Medical expenses in TurboTax Online, follow these steps:

Down the left side of the screen, click Federal.
Down the left side of the screen, click Deductions & Credits.
Click the down arrow to the right of Medical.
Click to the right of Medical Expenses.
