We added the solar panel credit on our 2023 taxes, and received partial credit. The panels were paid off in 2024. How do we know if this is a carry forward? No form 5695

Look at your print-out, or PDF of your 2023 tax return.

If there is a $$ amount on line 16 of that year's form 5695, then that is the $$ amount you can put into this year's taxes as a carryover credit.
