Question

where do I enter a new car title tax (Virginia)

I see that it IS deductible (the amount of title tax paid on a new car) but I cannot seem to find where to enter this number.  Please help!

On the deductions and credits page, there is an item "personal property taxes."

 

Note that only the portion that is based on the car's value is deductible.  In my county, there is a $20 or $40 flat fee plus a variable amount based on the value; only the part based on value is deductible.
